Support Programs at YFGC

At Youth & Family Guidance Center, our support programs create safe, welcoming spaces where community members come together to share experiences, gain life skills, and receive guidance through every stage of life. Each group is designed to build resilience, promote emotional well-being, and foster stronger family connections.

Current Support Groups:

​

  • Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
    Guidance and encouragement for kinship caregivers navigating the challenges of parenting a second time around.

​

  • Teen Support Group (Ages 13–17)
    A safe space for youth to build confidence, explore identity, and receive mentorship through open discussion and peer support.

​

  • Youth Empowerment Circle (Ages 6–12)
    Focused on building social-emotional skills, healthy communication, and positive coping strategies in younger children.

​

  • Grief Support (Ages 6–11, 12–17, and 18+)
    Age-specific groups to help children, teens, and adults process loss in a healthy, supportive environment.

​

  • Parenting Support Group
    Designed to support parents and guardians with practical tools, emotional encouragement, and peer insight.

​

  • Survivors of Domestic Violence
    A confidential space for individuals healing from trauma and seeking safety, strength, and community.

​

  • Life Skills & Resilience Group for Youth (12–17)
    Focused on preventing risky behaviors by teaching self-awareness, goal setting, and emotional regulation.

Community Resource Navigation & Family Support

At Youth & Family Guidance Center, we believe no one should have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Our Resource Navigation Program connects individuals and families with trusted services across St. Lucie County—ranging from healthcare and mental health to housing, food assistance, parenting support, and more.

Through partnerships with local nonprofits, churches, and government agencies, our team helps you identify what services you qualify for, walks you through complex paperwork, and advocates for your family every step of the way.

 

Whether you’re raising children, caring for a grandchild, or simply need help finding the right support, we’re here to guide you—compassionately and confidentially.
